About Guatemala
In Guatemala, access to education is a critical issue, particularly in rural areas. Many schools suffer from inadequate infrastructure, limited resources, and a shortage of qualified teachers. Despite efforts to improve education, significant challenges persist, including high dropout rates and limited access for marginalized communities. Additionally, clean water access is a major concern, as a significant portion of the population lacks access to safe drinking water and sanitation facilities. This not only affects the health of individuals but also has a direct impact on children’s ability to attend school regularly. Beyond education and water, families in Guatemala face a range of needs, including access to healthcare, nutrition, employment opportunities, and social support. We are working towards addressing the challenges of fresh water and improving the quality of life for Guatemalan families.
