We had the opportunity to see the Pacific Ocean. While stopping to see the beautiful cliffs – we had an unexpected view!

A man dressed as a monk ran through and down the jagged rock staircase! Buzzing by me, Startled, I noticed he was all wet, and wondered, ” What is going on”. (For we all know, that no matter where we are in our world we must be aware of our environment – safety first). As was this case, but still – I stopped and just watched!

Monk-man climbed the highest area, stood at the edge, waved to all those that watched – then dives off the cliff! Gasps were heard by those nearby! “Oh, my word! Did you see that?” “Is he ok?” We all asked!

Then we see him climb up a rope, dripping wet, he scurried through the crowd, asking, collecting change from the cliff observers, drop the coins in a bowl, covers the donations, and runs back to the cliff and does it again!!! WHAT!!! All this transpiring in 5-7 minuets-if that!

I was at this site for about an hour and watched him do this several times! All I kept thinking was, “What a way to make a living”.

Yet, as I reflect on this (I am so glad my friend captured this photo) – it truly is a snapshot that speaks volumes!

We all have areas in our lives that could represent the edge of the cliff! Often our cliffs are circumstances perhaps even a person that brings anxiety, fear, and confusion into our world!

How we handle the cliffs of our lives changes us whether we realize it or not! I can let the cliff terrorize me, robbing me of my TODAY, my peace, and my hope! Or I can go to the edge of my cliff and see the view! The cliff offers a different perspective! I may not understand all the whys – the reasons for my cliffs – yet if I say ok – God it’s your cliff and here I am! My view changes!

My leap of faith may look dangerous but like Monk-man my leap of faith brings rewards! Go ahead and take that leap!

( By the way, Monk-man was dressed in that garb because the area was a historical site that monks at one time served the area!)
