Since 2019 Tommy and I have been praying about where we would go for our next well drilling project.  Would it be…India, South Africa, Uganda, or back to the Philippines. Although we were ready, we did not have a great light in our spirits….So we waited. THEN….

A friend of ours who is a missionary in Guatemala was in town and asked if we were free to meet for dinner. Indeed, we were…

We had an amazing time, and I am not talking about the food.

 Before we left our home, Tommy and I talked about…if we were asked to assist him, we would say yes!!

As he shared his heart with us, and the great need for safe water – we knew…Our next trip and perhaps several trips would be to Guatemala.

Guatemala has approximately 2500 schools, with about 10% having running water.   Say that again….did we hear correctly? Can you imagine?  2500 schools, children attending these schools with no running water, no drinking water.

Our vision took flight at that restaurant – Planning and implementation are underway.   

Each water well will cost approximately $21,000 US dollars.  Our goal is to oversee, help with installation & teach maintenance of 3+ wells per year starting in 2024.

While Tommy is in the field with the crews, I will be in the community and with the kiddos at the school.
